A 37-year-old man has denied committing a grave and criminal assault at a property in Hope Street.
Roberto Miguel Andrade Rodriques pleaded not guilty to the alleged attack, which is alleged to have taken place on 31 October last year, when he appeared in the Royal Court on Friday.
The plea was not accepted by the Crown and Mr Rodrigues was told to reappear in court on 15 November for a pre-trial hearing.
A three-day jury trial is scheduled to begin on 2 May.
