A 4x4 last week hit the wall of the island’s only surviving working water mill, Police have said.
The blue vehicle crashed into the wall of Le Moulin de Quétivel on the bottom of Mont Fallu in St. Peter at around 17:30 on Thursday.
It had been travelling down the hill towards St. Peter’s Valley before hitting the wall. No one was injured in the collision.
The mill’s current building dates from the 18th century, but the mill’s history extends as far back as 1309. Surrounded by water meadows, it was historically used to produce flour which was later exported to the Americas.

These days, it occasionally opens to give members of the public a first-hand glimpse of Jersey’s agricultural heritage.
Police described the damage to the wall as “minor”, but are nonetheless hoping to find out more about what happened.
They’re asking anyone who witnessed the crash to contact them on 612612 or to make an anonymous report via Crimestoppers on 0800 55111.
