A large piece of lead roofing worth as much as £500 has been stolen from a Havre des Pas property, and Police are on the hunt for the culprit.
The roofing was believed to be taken from the courtyard of the property, which is near the Ommaroo Hotel, between the hours of 15:00 on Wednesday and 09:00 on Thursday.
It is described as being a “large piece” of roofing, measuring around 130cm x 200cm. It is valued between £400 and £500.

Police are now appealing to islanders who may have noticed anything suspicious in the area at the time or been approached to purchase the roofing piece.
Anyone with any information on the theft should call the Police on 612612 or make an anonymous report via Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
