Thursday 03 October 2024

A multiple Guinness World Record breaking adventurer is set to deliver a talk in Jersey next week to inspire those taking part in an upcoming charity trek across Northern Vietnam.

Neil Laughton will deliver a presentation at Jersey Cheshire Home Community Centre in St Helier on Tuesday 8 October.

Mr Laughton – known for summiting Mount Everest with Bear Grylls, and piloting the world's first flying car from London to Timbuktu – will share his experiences with audiences.

The presentation marks the beginning of Jersey Cheshire Home's fundraising efforts for a trek through through the mountains and rice fields of Northern Vietnam from 18 to 25 October 2025.

Donna Abel, CEO of Jersey Cheshire Home, said: "We are thrilled to have the opportunity to hear from someone as inspirational as Neil, and we hope his passion and spirit of adventure will inspire participants to challenge themselves for this great cause."

Michael Clarke, Investment Director at Oakglen Wealth, which is sponsoring the event, added: "Oakglen Wealth is delighted to liaise with Untold Story Travel to help bring Neil Laughton to Jersey.

"This will be a fun and interesting event as we hear of Neil's fascinating adventures."
