The case against a 32-year-old electrician accused of committing a grave and criminal assault on a woman at a property in St. Helier has been dropped.
Having earlier denied the charge, Sam Philips appeared in the Royal Court on Friday via videolink from his native Yorkshire to hear that the Prosecution were not offering any evidence and he was discharged from proceedings.
