Walking down Seale Street these days, you'd think you'd entered a fairytale land.
It's the work of Ben Robertson, also known as BOKRA, who specialises in bold and brightly coloured murals around St. Helier.
By combining abstract patterns and realism, his work aims to encourage the viewers of his large-scale collage murals to look closer at the world around them.
“The piece of work which I believe has had the most impact on the public this year is my latest large-scale mural on the Jersey Oak building on Seale Street. The mural was received so well by everyone."

"On reflection, I realised how important and timely this mural was, not just to bring colour to St. Helier, but also nature, as it features a forest and local flora and fauna. Also, for the islanders to see a positive project and be able to interact with it from street-level became apparent as the mural neared completion."
Ben explained the long process of creating the mural, explaining: "This mural took around two months to complete, from scaffolding at first, then ladders, using a mix of spray paint and masonry paint.”
