Hundreds will be on the run around the countryside today, putting in some miles to help save some of the world's rarest animals.
The Durrell Dash is starting and ending in the world famous conservation park.
Durrell’s Events Manager Paddy Haversham-Quaid said: “The Durrell Dash is now established as one of the most popular events on the island’s sporting calendar, both with local runners and visitors to the Island. The money generated by this event is vital in helping us save species from extinction.
“We are incredibly grateful to Rathbones for their continued support and we'd also like to thank Jersey Triathlon Club who have assisted in marking and measuring the routes.”
The event is sponsored for the second year running by local investment management firm Rathbones, who have a team of over 20 runners signed up for the big race.
Deputy Managing Director of Rathbones Phil Bain said: “We are once again excited to be involved in the Durrell Dash, actively supporting this fantastic local charity, with active being the key word!
“We’re not only helping to raise much needed funds for Durrell but Rathbones staff, clients, friends and family are all getting involved and taking part in the races on Sunday.”
The pre-race stretch and warm up for the 13km Dash starts at 08.15 am before all the runners set off at 08.30 am.
