An islander was left feeling "crazy like a fool" after finding the first ever album she bought as a 13-year-old and marked with her own signature in a charity shop more than 40 years later.
In May 1980, LuLu Baylee proudly walked out of a record store with a copy of Boney M’s 'Take the Heat Off Me' under her arm.
The band’s debut album was first released in 1976 and included the massive hit Daddy Cool.
LuLu had the foresight to write her name on the front of the album, as well as the date and time of purchase - something which paid off years later when she was browsing Durrell's charity shop.

“We have been reunited some 41 years later," LuLu exclaimed on Facebook in a post which has since racked up more than 1,000 'likes'.
“I don’t even own a record player, but just had to buy it back.”
Even without the handy reminder written on the album cover, LuLu’s first record purchase was memorable.

“I remember it well, It was from Lady Jayne records. It cost £3.23. I was 13 at the time.”
During the time that LuLu was separated from the album, she at least managed to find a suitable compromise - seeing the band live.
“I did get to see Boney M a few summers ago,” Lulu recalled.
“They were great.”
