A local cancer charity's book café is selling off its furniture, appliances and remaining stock this weekend.
Macmillan Jersey's The Lounge at 26 Burrard Street announced its closure last month.
The premises combined a coffee shop with a second-hand book shop, and was created as a way of engaging with the local community, providing a space for the income team and creating a further opportunity to raise funds.
The charity's CEO Steph Gibaut said that, while the facility had met most of its objectives, circumstances had changed as a result of the pandemic, resulting in difficult decisions.
Between 10:00 and 13:00 this Saturday (16 December), islanders are being invited to buy their remaining furniture, stock, cutlery and art - "everything but the kitchen sink!" the charity said.
