A driver attempting to park crashed through a wall in a town housing estate yesterday afternoon.
The incident happened in Clos de Balmain at around 4.15 pm.
A team of five firefighters were called out to help the driver get out of the car safely, and to shift the car.
A statement from the fire service said that when they arrived at the scene, the car was in a precarious position.
Paul McGrath, Watch Commander, said: “On arrival the driver was still inside the car and remained there until the team quickly secured the vehicle to ensure there was no further movement.
“Once the car was secure, fire service personnel assisted the lady in exiting the vehicle. Luckily no injuries were sustained and the lady was happily re-united with her family.”
