CCaSM exhibition celebrates "sublime in abstraction and nature"

Sunday 11 March 2018

For their first exhibition of the year, CCaSM Modern and Contemporary is presenting a collection of Contemporary Fine Art from international artists, in a celebration of the "sublime in abstraction and nature."

'Arcadian Dreams' is described an exhibition of "...natural beauty re-imagined and distilled by some of the most compelling artists working today."

The group exhibition was sponsored by UBS Wealth Management. It includes new works by some of today's "most interesting and highly collectible artists" from North America, Europe and Asian, such as Anish Kapoor, Nissa Nishikawa, Boomoon, Gary Hume, Sue Arrowsmith & Damien Hirst.

Works by several established local artists Nick Parlett, Pippa Barrow and Daniel Porter will also be included in the offices and exhibition spaces.

Co-Founder and Director Chris Clifford said: “As winter breaks into spring our spirits rise as we collectively look forward to warmer weather and longer days. For this exhibition we wanted reflect that feeling with a selection of masterworks by artists who have, central to their practise, the desire to reflect natural beauty through an image or idea of life that is fundamentally uplifting.”
