The man who rode a pregnant heifer in Grouville over the weekend has come forward to apologise and "will be paying for the vet bill".
The team at Master Farms said they had also asked the individual to make a donation to a local animal charity following the "unbelievable" incident at the weekend.
Speaking to Express yesterday, Phil Le Maistre of Master Farms explained that the farm had been made aware of footage of the incident which was circulating on social media.
He said the team was left in disbelief after learning that a member of the public had mounted one of their heifers and "rode it".
The police also confirmed that they were investigating the matter alongside the States Vet.
In an update, Master Farms announced that a vet had since checked the pregnant cow and that both her and her baby were ok.
The team added that they "have found the person responsible who has been in contact with us and the police".
The post continued: "They have apologised and regret their actions.
"They will be paying for the vet bill and also we have asked them to make a donation to a local animal charity."
