A local actor will be taking Islanders on a spooky journey around St Peter’s valley this Halloween and telling tales of Jersey’s Supernatural Past.
The Hauntin Ghost is daring people over the age of 12 to meet him at the Quétivel Mill Pond with their torches on either Thursday 30 or Friday 31 October to journey through the Island’s past and hear some old scary stories he says will “freeze your bones”.
The National Trust for Jersey’s Chris Addy said: “Some years ago the National Trust for Jersey organised a Halloween event along these lines for a corporate client, which proved to be very successful - the setting no doubt complementing the atmosphere and authenticity of the experience.
“So ‘Halloween Tales’ has been resurrected in 2014 with the intention of taking you on a journey through the scary ways and paths of Jersey’s supernatural past. It promises to be a terrifying and unforgettable experience!”
The ghost – a fearless phantom – who doesn’t want his true identity revealed said: “Join me when you least expect to see me in the woods leading to my resting place. Afraid is not just a word – it will become a reality as I tell you of Les Moutonniers, The Cows That Danced, The Ghost Bride, The Wreckers of St Ouen, the boy who crossed The Black Lady and.......there are many more that I can share with you to frighten and enthral. And will you, for ever, hear The Cry of the Tombelines in your nightmares? You will, my friends, you will.

The spooky story-telling starts at 6 pm and 8 pm and lasts about an hour and a half.
