A 40-year-old man is to be sentenced in the Royal Court after swerving into oncoming traffic lane and crashing into a wall while over the limit earlier this year.
Paul Anthony Jeffroy pleaded guilty to four driving-related charges on Friday: two counts of drink-driving, one of dangerous driving, and one of failing to notify a change of address.
On 20 January, he drove dangerously on La Grande Route de la Sablon in Grouville by “knowingly swerving into the oncoming traffic lane in order to crash into a wall.”
Jeffroy was found to be over the limit at the time, with 74mg of alcohol in 100ml of breath.

On the same date, he was also found to have failed to give notification of a change of registered address.
The incident came just two months after another drink-driving incident on 19 November 2019 in which he was found to have driven with 160mg of alcohol in 100ml of breath.
He was granted bail ahead of his sentencing before the Inferior Number on 27 November at 10:00.
