After 150 years of helping animals, the JSPCA are ready to celebrate in style with a concert, a competition and a bark-tastic family day out all on the agenda.
Official celebrations will be on the 25 May, but before that, islanders are invited to take part in a mural competition to brighten up the volunteers' workplace.
The competition is open to all islanders and designs have to be submitted before 13 April. The winning design will be recreated by the winner on a wall space at the JSPCA site.
The mural competition is just one of several events scheduled to mark the JSPCA's anniversary celebrations. A family day is planned at the Royal Showground on 28 April. The free event will be entirely dog-friendly, with four legged companions allowed to join in the fun.
Visitors will be able to enjoy various dog displays and to enter dog competitions. As part of their Fun Competitions, the JSPCA are looking for contenders for 'Best six legs', 'Best in Show', 'Waggiest tail', and 'Best Rescue Dog', to name just a few.

Louise Eden from Fit Paws will be demonstrating some of her classes as well as the Jersey Dog Handlers Association, who recently took home the award for 'Training Class of the Year' at the National Pawscars. They will be in the ring from 15:00 organising some Pedigree Classes.
There will also be plenty on site to keep the kids entertained including a bouncy castle, face painting, games and prizes to be won.
Organisers said: "This will be a great day for all of the family and your canine companion with plenty to keep you busy. Join us for "The Jungle Jane Show" and we even have photo opportunities available for you and some of the animals. We are very pleased to be joined by some of our Affiliates and local organisations who will be promoting their vital work."
Schools have also been involved in the celebration. Primary schools pupils will be designing an Animal Mask in the hope to win a 'Behind the Scenes' tour of the JSPCA. A winning student will be picked in each school by the headteachers before 24 May.
Jersey students at both Primary and Secondary Schools have also been invited to hold a cake sale at their participating schools on 25 May.
