Police are reminding Islanders that not everyone likes ghoulish goings on at Halloween or “trick or treaters” knocking at their doors.
They’ve come up with two posters for those who are staying indoors to download on their website to help let others know whether they are in for a treat or not.
Inspector Mark Coxshall said: “Halloween can be a fun time but it can also be a worrying time for those people who don’t want to get involved in trick or treating.
“If you are planning to go out on Friday night, please make sure you are only visiting people who are happy to be part of Halloween.
“Please respect the wishes of those people who don’t want trick or treaters knocking at their door.”
The police will have extra officers patrolling residential areas tonight and Inspector Coxshall has put together these handy Halloween tips for those who are out and about:
Anyone who feels threatened or vulnerable over Halloween or sees any suspicious behaviour can call the Police on 612612.
You can download the posters here.
