Don't get left on the sidelines this season!

Jersey's FA are expecting to net a load of last minute registrations before the season kicks off this week.

The Charity Cup heralds the start of local competition but all players need to register with the Association if they want to play.

Jersey FA Business Manager Bob Lawrence said“We have already had 850 players register and we are anticipating a last minute rush over the next few days as clubs prepare for their first competitive games.

“ We are delighted with the response we have had so far and we are geared up and ready to cope with the expected surge of late registrations.  The trends we are seeing mirror that of our experience from previous years and we are confident that everything will go smoothly.”

This season the JFA scheme has been combined with the Jersey Football Combination League signing on process at the same time as the introduction of the new FA Whole Game IT system.

Bob Lawrence said: “This has been a challenging project for us with both a new system to work with and new processes to be followed.  We are now right up to date with registrations and we are keeping clubs up to date with lists of their signed on players.

“One of the benefits of having a combined system with the League is that we will now have a central database and we will be working closely with the Jersey Football Combination Registration Secretaries to check match team sheets.  We would like to thank clubs for their patience whilst we introduced the new system and as always, we will be pleased to assist clubs with any queries they may have.”
