WATCH #Jsy2018: two new Deputies to be elected in St. Lawrence

Thursday 03 May 2018

Parishioners in St.Lawrence won't be electing a new Constable this year - Deidre Mezbourian was returned unopposed - but they will be voting in two new Deputies.

Voters will have the choice of three candidates for those positions.

Current Deputy Eddie Noel chose not to seek re-election, and the other current Deputy John Le Fondré is hoping to get back in as a Senator, so whichever two people parishioners choose, both are going to be ‘new’ faces.

The three going for the job are Kirsten Morel, Gregory Guida, and Reform candidate Sarah Westwater.

All parishioners in St Lawrence – like parishioners across the island – will also have the opportunity to choose up to eight senators from a list of 17 candidates. Voting will be at the parish hall. Election day is Wednesday 16 May.

Bailiwick Express would like to thank the students of Highlands College Media Department who helped film some of these election videos.

Friday: St John.
