Brit Award winner Ellie Goulding will headline this year’s Jersey Live Festival.
Festival organisers say the songstress will lead the line-up for its first night on Saturday 30th August at the Royal Jersey Agricultural and Horticultural Showground site in Trinity.
The first limited “early bird” tickets for the event went on sale on Sunday at 9 am from the festival website www.jerseylive.org.uk, but were sold out in just one hour.
Organisers say this year’s event will see five incredible stages and 10,000 visitors each day, as well as a new kids’ field with a Big Top stage.
The rest of the line-up, including the headliner for Sunday night, will be announced in the coming months.
Ellie Goulding won the Brit Award for Best Solo Female Artist for 2014, and her singles “Burn” and “I Need Your Love” were both nominated for British Single of the Year and Video of the Year.
Jersey Live is the biggest event on the Islands social calendar and has been attracting increasingly more star-studded line-ups since the first event in 2004. Last year’s event was headlined by Fatboy Slim, Chic and Example and was the first at which organisers were allowed to provide a campsite for festival-goers from outside of the Island.
