FESTIVE COCKTAILS: Enjoy a Boxing Day nightcap with Santa...

Thursday 26 December 2024

Boxing Day calls for something cosy and indulgent to wind down after the Christmas festivities, and the bar team at the Somerville Hotel in St Aubin has just the thing...

Express has partnered with the Jersey Hospitality Association for a new '12 Cocktails of Christmas' series, which will showcase festive drinks from bar staff across the island, giving readers the chance to try their favourite seasonal recipes at home.

The cocktail...

The second cocktail in the series, 'Santa’s Nightcap', is a rich and luxurious blend of Courvoisier, Frangelico, Malibu, and marshmallow syrup.

The bar team described the creation as a "festive, indulgent cocktail blending the warmth of Courvoisier, the nuttiness of Frangelico, and the tropical sweetness of Malibu, balanced by marshmallow syrup garnished with grated chocolate".

How to make it

  • 30ml Courvoisier

  • 25ml Frangelico

  • 25ml Malibu

  • 40ml Double cream

  • 10ml Marshmallow syrup

Those ingredients are then shaken over ice, double-strained into a martini glass, and finished with grated chocolate.
