Firefighters were called to a St Saviour home this afternoon to deal with a structure fire.
Jersey Fire and Rescue Service attended the property at around 14:30 on Tuesday 24 September.
In a statement posted on social media, the Fire Service explained that one fire engine responded initially.
Firefighters quickly extinguished the fire using a high pressure hosereel.
The crew was then joined by second fire engine that worked to clear the property from smoke.
The Fire Service said: "Thankfully the damage was limited due to the owner closing the door from the fire to the main house, and quickly calling 999.
They were alerted by working smoke alarms."
