Two islanders will be flipping a 60kg tire for 10 hours to raise funds for a charity which helps to keep separated families connected.
James’s Ark, a charity which aims to help fathers remain in contact with their children following separation, has seen a significant increase in demand for their services in recent years.
In 2023 alone, their helpline received an average of 200 calls per month, assisting approximately 140 families in need, according to the charity.
At Fitness First on 4 May, Mark Kosmider and Glynn Monet will be flipping a 60kg tire for 6,000 meters over 10 hours to raise much-needed funds for the charity.

On social media, James' Ark said: "That's 10 hours of hard work and determination to help families in need!
"At James' Ark, we're committed to strengthening family bonds and ensuring children have loving relationships with both parents.
"The funds raised from this fundraiser will go towards our important projects, supporting families in Jersey.
"Let's show our appreciation for Mark, Glynn, and all the amazing work they're doing.
"Whether you cheer them on during the event or contribute to our cause, every bit of support makes a difference!"
