Islanders invited to "try a bike" this weekend

Islanders are invited to "try a bike" this weekend at an event which will feature touring bikes, hybrid and mountain e-bikes, and cargo bikes.

Various types of electric bikes will be available to borrow and test ride at Le Rocquier School on Sunday 23 June from 10:00 to 12:00.

Both the Powerhouse and Evolution Cycles will be in attendance with a range of e-bikes to test from their show rooms.

Islanders will be able to test the bikes for short rides in a traffic-free environment.

Full instructions will be given to riders on the day.

The event is an opportunity for locals to talk to e-bike experts and find the right bike for them, whether they're an avid cyclist or a beginner.

After successful previous "try a bike" events, the Government hopes that the day will provide a "great opportunity" to learn about e-bikes and have a test cycle.
