A Jersey-based IT company has relaunched a free online tool that gives islanders an easy way to verify their lottery ticket numbers ahead of the upcoming holiday draw.
The Channel Islands Christmas Lottery Checker – now in its third year – allows users to save their ticket numbers in a secure account, and check whether they have won either by logging into the website or through email notifications.
Jamie McDonald, Chief Technical Officer at SystemLabs, said: “Following the success of 2023, we’re excited to relaunch the Christmas Lottery Checker to help islanders as the festive season builds.
“With the draw only a month away, we wanted to ensure everyone has a hassle-free way to check their numbers.”
He added: “As a company and as islanders we are aware that checking tickets has always been a manual process and this can be time-consuming, especially for companies who may have purchased a group of tickets in a syndicate.
“We decided to use our expertise and build a web app that would allow islanders to easily see if their ticket is a winner and make life a little easier for our fellow islanders this year.”
The 2024 Christmas Lottery draw will take place in Guernsey this year, with the winning numbers announced live on Thursday 19 December from 18:00.
