Two runners with an age gap of over 70 years have reached huge milestones at Parkrun in Jersey.
Nine-year-old Charlie Watson completed his 100th Parkrun last month alongside his 83-year-old running "inspiration" Sergio Da Silva, who has now completed 300 races.
Charlie's mum Catherine Watson told Express that her son started the 5km weekly runs at just four years old.
The VCP student set himself the goal of completing his milestone run on Christmas Day, but Storm Darragh scuppered those plans.
Charlie then decided to run his hundredth race before 1 January 2025 instead.

Charlie said: “It was my aim to get a hundred runs by the end of this year and I am so proud of myself.
"I love doing Parkrun with my family and I hope I can run like Sergio when I am in my 80s, he is a legend, respect.”
Sergio, who said running is his "passion", completed his own goal of reaching 300 park runs by the end of December.
He added: "A healthy body if a healthy mind and I am truly grateful to the directors and marshals who give us all the opportunity each week to get out there and start our weekend with fresh air in our lungs and a bounce in our step.”
Charlie and Sergio are two of 334 people in Jersey who completed the final Parkrun of 2024.
Joshua Brien was first finisher in a time of 18.50 and Kate Faram was first female finisher in 21.44.
Another 39 participants also achieved 'personal best' times.
UK Parkrun race director Stuart McTeer visited the island to complete the race and described Jersey's Parkrun as a "real highlight".
He said: "What I have loved is travelling to events across the UK and beyond and meeting so many interesting and enthusiastic parkrunners.
"Jersey has been a real highlight, and I wish its regular participants, and the amazing volunteers listed below all the best for a fantastic 2025."
He added: "Many parkrun enthusiasts do the “alphabet challenge”, and as the elusive letter ‘J’, Jersey Parkrun features high on the must-run-list for many Parkrun tourists."
