It might not be beginning to look a lot like Christmas yet, but some festive attractions have already been confirmed, including the ice rink returning for the first time in three years...
The Jersey Development Company (JDC) has announced it will running and funding an ice skating rink at the Weighbridge during the festive period between 17 November and 18 February, while a series of Genuine Jersey Christmas Markets will be held over three weekends in the Royal Square between 23 November and 10 December.
There will be up to 10 skate sessions per day Monday to Sunday, including special 'themed' sessions on Thursdays to Sundays. These include a retro night with throwback hits, a party night, a request your tunes night and 'Under 16s Xtreme'.
50p from every ticket sale will be donated to local children's charities.
"The ice rink at Fort Regent was a popular and much-loved community attraction during previous festive seasons, however, the island has been without this amenity for the past three years and we wanted to bring it back," explained JDC Chief Executive Lee Henry.
"Given the challenging times Islanders have faced this year, we're hoping the availability of an ice rink conveniently sited at the Weighbridge will help to infuse some fun-filled winter activity for friends, families and the wider community to enjoy."
The Genuine Jersey Simply Christmas markets will offer a variety of stalls featuring holiday gifts, hot food and drinks sold by more than 60 local artisans and producers, as well as local musicians and entertainment.
John Garton, the Chief Executive of Genuine Jersey said: “Over three four-day weekends visitors to the markets will have the chance to come and soak up the atmosphere whilst purchasing directly from local artisans’ many of whom will have spent the past few months making, creating and building up their stock.”
“Everything you see will have been made, created, reared or caught by a Genuine Jersey Member,” he added.

There will also be late-night shopping in St Helier on Thursday 23 and 30 November, and 7 December.
