Gorey road closures: Don’t tempt fête

Thursday 17 August 2017

As Gorey Fête returns for another year, islanders are reminded of the road closures in the vicinity.

Gorey Coast Road between Beach Road and its junction with Mont de Gouray and La Route de la Côte is closed until 12:00 noon tomorrow.

Due to limited parking, a free “Park & Ride” system will be in operation from 09:00-23:00, running from the carparks at Jersey Activity Centre, Seymour Farm and the northern entrance to the Fete at Devon Gardens on Gorey Hill.

Parking on Gorey Hill from Devon Gardens to Camellia Cottage will not be allowed during the fête and the small car park on Gorey Hill alongside Pizza Quarter will also be closed.

The community fête is open from 10:00 and boasts a line-up of local musicians, fireworks, beach games, a spaghetti eating contest and much more.
