It’s big news for this little fella – from tomorrow the dog restrictions on beaches come to an end.
During the summer, you’re not allowed to walk your canine companions on the beach during the day unless they’re on a lead, but that restriction comes to an end from tomorrow.
Up until then, you need to have your dog on a lead between 10.30 am and 6 pm.
The end of the restrictions also apply to horses, which can be exercised freely from tomorrow– they’re not allowed on the beach during the daytime on the summer.
The other big reminder for dog walkers is about cleaning up after your hound – the penalty for leaving dog poo on the beach, the road or a pavement is a fine of up to £500.
