Intruders damage aMaizin' attraction

Monday 08 March 2021

The aMaizin’ Adventure Park team has put out a plea to help identify a group of “young men”, who broke into the attraction on Sunday night and damaged the facilities.

Posting earlier today on Facebook, a spokesperson said that the group of six broke into the park at 19:19 on Sunday night, and that they believe it is not the first time they have visited.

In the post, they included a picture of the group with their hoods up, in deliberate low-quality, saying that “we feel if you know them, you will recognise them.”

Though they said they have clear images of the young men after removing their hoodies that will be passed onto the relevant authorities, they clarified they would not be posting them to social media due to uncertainty around the subjects’ ages.

They have requested anyone who recognises them from the above image to message the park confidentially on social media.

Explaining the impact the break-ins have on the park, they added: “For almost a year we have worked hard to keep up staff morale whilst we have had continuous upheaval with the current situation.

“Our team have worked extremely hard and to come into the park on Monday to organise the cleaners and to have to spend hours on repairs and re-organisation is demoralising.

“We are unable to replace some of this equipment due to factories still not being open, so it has a direct impact on the running of the park.”
