A Los Angeles-based film composer who worked on the first season of hit Disney+ show The Mandalorian will be scoring a Guernsey director's film.
Omar El-Deeb will be adding Guernseyman Brandon Ashplant's film, ‘Bet Your Bottom Dollar’ to an enviable list of sound credits.
Mr El-Deeb scored the horror film Sound of Violence, and the award-winning documentary Breaking Bread.
Mr Ashplant said it was a “massive coup for a local short film”.
Bet Your Bottom Dollar is currently in post-production and follows the story of a young man from England whose gambling addiction gets him in trouble in France. The film includes acting talent from Peep Show, Outlander and local films Marooned Awakening and The Last Bus.
There’ll be a local screening of the film in the coming months and then it’ll enter the international film circuit.
