A top Manchester United and England football player has sent a video message to a local primary school.
Victoria College Preparatory received congratulations from Harry Maguire after being recently crowned as Channel Island Champions.
The football star wished the team luck in the next stage of the English Schools' Football Association competition, which will see the young islanders play against other champion schools in the south-west of England in the regional stages of the tournament.
In the video message, Maguire said: "I just want to say a big congratulations on the results today and good luck for the rest of the competition.
"I hope it goes well, enjoy guys."
VCP shared the video on social media and expressed gratitude towards the well-known football player.
The local school is one of over 5,000 across England which compete for the prestigious ESFA Championship each year.
VCP football coach and head of PE, Mr Silva, has previously led the team to two national championship victories and six finals over the past nine years.
The youngsters reached the national football finals in the UK last year, and finished joint-fifth.
However, this year, they are hoping to take it all the way – now with support from football hero Harry Maguire.
