Two Door Cinema Club have been announced as headliners of the Weekender Festival, a two-day music event taking place on the same weekend, and at the same venue, as Jersey Live.
The Irish rockers behind hits such as 'Something Good Can Work' and 'Bad Decisions' will be gracing the Royal Jersey Showground on Sunday 3 September this year.
It has also been revealed that the weekend-long event will include a "festival dining experience" called Feastville.
Jersey Live, which was formerly held in the same place at the same time as the Weekender, announced its closure after 13 years in business in January of this year.
At the time, festival organisers Warren Le Sueur and Warren Holt thanked the public for their "amazing" time working on Jersey Live, which they described as "a great journey".
The move sparked an outpouring of sadness from music-loving locals, who said they would greatly miss the event, which drew in crowds of 10,000 each year and chart-topping acts including the Prodigy, Basement Jaxx and Ellie Goulding.

On its website, the Weekender describes itself as something to "fill the void":
"Earlier this year the island learnt that Jersey Live, the biggest festival event in the local calendar, would not be happening in 2017. They say, ‘you don’t know what you’ve got until it’s gone’ and it was clear from comments on social media that Jersey would miss a festival event to close the summer. There was a noticeable public outpouring of loss.
"A door closed on memories formed over years of world class acts in a Trinity field. As we all bemoaned the absence of the event, many new event names popped up. Meanwhile, the team behind the new ‘Weekender’ were meeting to plan a new event they thought could fill the void."
The festival will feature a number of familiar features including a silent disco and the Full Flow tent, as well as some new ones including the 'Performers Pavillion', focused on visual arts and entertainment.

Islanders have already taken to social media to praise the new festival and headliner.
One commented: "Amazing band... can't wait to see them live."
Referring to Two Door Cinema Club, another said: "Love these been dying to see them for ages ace booking."
Early bird weekend tickets for the event are priced at £69, while Weekend VIP Lounge tickets are £242. They can be bought here.
