The Health Department has apologised after some patients expecting blood tests yesterday, today and next week had their appointments cancelled "due to an administrative error".
All affected Phlebotomy appointments are now being rebooked or reinstated.
It is not clear how the error arose or how many patients were affected. Express has asked the Government, and is awaiting a response.
A statement shared by the Government on social media yesterday afternoon read: "Due to an administrative error, some Phlebotomy appointments were cancelled for patients today, tomorrow and some of next week.
"These appointments are now being reinstated. If you have not been contacted, please attend your Phlebotomy appointment as normal.
"If you have been contacted to have your appointment cancelled, you will be contacted shortly to reinstate the appointment."
"HCS apologises for any inconvenience caused to patients," they added.
