An inquest into the death of a 52-year-old tree surgeon was yesterday opened and adjourned.
Jonathan Norman Renouard Le Maistre, company director of Jonathan Le Maistre Tree Surgery, was found dead by his partner at her home in Grouville on the morning of 18 May.
The death is not considered suspicious, the inquest heard.
Assistant Coroner Cyril Whelan adjourned the hearing to allow for further investigations.
Islanders took to social media to pay tribute to a “big Jersey character” who was “full of fun” following news of Mr Le Maistre’s death.
