Jersey’s long been known as a car-crazed jurisdiction, with one of the highest levels of vehicle ownership per capita in the world… but which car brands and colours rule the roads?
Express crunched the data from the last 10 years…
Just over 50,000 vehicles were registered in Jersey from 2014 to 2024.
Of these, the most popular make was Ford with a total of 4,606 vehicles – 9% of all vehicles registered in the island from 2014 to 2024.
This was followed by Volkswagen and Honda, with 3,536 and 2,669 vehicles respectively registered in the last decade.
Peugeot took fourth place with 2,616 vehicles registered in the island since 2014, and Nissan took fifth place with 2,570 vehicles.
The overall most popular model of car in Jersey in the last decade was a Ford Fiesta MCA Zetec, with 489 vehicles registered.

White was by far the most popular car colour in the last decade, with 13,802 vehicles registered being this colour – over 27% of all vehicles registered in the island from 2014 to 2024.
Black and grey were almost tied for second place, with 8,506 and 8,503 vehicles respectively registered since 2014.
The least popular car colour was maroon, with just 33 vehicles registered in the last 10 years.
Pink, turquoise, cream and gold were also relatively unpopular with 56, 63, 70, and 98 vehicles respectively registered.
Just 123 vehicles registered in Jersey since 2014 were classed as multi-coloured.
