An elderly woman has died after a vehicle fell from the cliff edge at Corbière public car park last night.
Shortly after 17:00 last night, all three emergency services attended the scene where a black Suzuki Swift was found on its roof over the cliff edge.
In a statement this morning, police said: "The two female occupants were transported to the Accident and Emergency Department for treatment.
"Sadly, an 84-year-old woman has subsequently died as a result."
The second female occupant of the car was treated in hospital for her injuries, and remains in a stable condition.
Police added: "The family of the deceased are being supported by specially trained Officers.
"An investigation into the cause of the incident is ongoing in conjunction with the Coroner."
