The chief executive of Jersey’s gas supplier has stepped down with immediate effect after three years in the role.
Islands Energy Group, which manages gas supply across the Crown Dependencies, confirmed Jo Cox's departure this morning.
Aidan Baglow, the former managing director of Manx Gas, has been appointed interim CEO.
Ms Cox’s tenure saw several high-profile incidents, including the tragic suspected gas explosion at Haut du Mont in December 2022, which claimed 10 lives and is being investigated, and a significant outage in October 2023 that left some customers without gas for up to two weeks.
The company is still embroiled in a dispute over compensation for affected customers, after only offering a £11.56 goodwill payment.
