An open invitation has been sent out by Government House inviting islanders to a reception in celebration of the King's official birthday.
On Friday 14 June, Lieutenant-Governor Vice Admiral Sir Jerry Kyd and his wife Dr Karen Kyd are set to welcome locals to the grounds of Government House for an evening of events to mark His Majesty's official birthday.

The celebration will feature music by Les Quennevais School's Steel Band and La Ronde Concert Band, a 21 Gun Salute by the 1781 Jersey Militia, as well as displays by the Band of the Island of Jersey.
The open invitation means that all islanders are welcome.
The dress code is smart casual, and the celebrations are due to start at 19:00. It is expected to finish by 20:30.
Attendees are advised that the reception will take place irrespective of the weather.
There is limited disabled parking at Government House, but the main car park is located at St Saviour's Parish Church field which can be accessed off St Saviour's Hill.
