Jamie Lovatt promises something a "little bit more physical” when he goes up against team-mate Chris Royal in tomorrow’s 'Battle Round' of The Voice.
The 25 year-old Jerseyman says it’ll be “pretty epic” and that both he and Chris were keen not to turn the performance into “a bit of a screaming match.” They are both performing Adele’s Rolling in the Deep and it will be down to their mentor, Kaiser Chief’s frontman Ricky Wilson, to decide the winner who will go through to the knockout rounds.
Jamie said: “Ricky’s a genuinely nice bloke. He's not known as a singer per se but he knows how to put on a show, he’s a great frontman. He’s building our confidence, not necessarily my confidence as it doesn’t really need building but collectively he’s building our confidence, he’s a great support, he’s like that really nice Uncle that supports you.”
Ricky even turned up to support his team as they got together to host an event at Jamie’s local pub last weekend.
It’s not necessarily the end for whoever loses in tomorrow night’s battle as the other coaches will get the chance to steal whoever is rejected for their own team.
But if you can’t wait, you can see a preview of Jamie’s battle here…
