Hundreds of runners took part in the Jersey Marathon yesterday – but one, from Kenya, outshone them all, completing the 26.2-mile challenge in just two hours and 21 minutes.
Here’s the full set of results…
First - 34-year-old Bosuben Benard Kipemoi (pictured top) from Kenya was the first male to cross the marathon finishing line at 02:21:09.
Second – France's Guillaume Ruel completed the run in 02:31:45.
Third - Steven Gray finished with a time of 02:39:57.
First - Lydia Wafula (34), also from Kenya, was the first female to cross the line, with a time of 02:45:02.
Second - Sam Lee crossed the line more than half-an-hour later, with a time of 03:23:17.
Third - Chantelle Frazier came shortly after, finishing with 03:23:34
Fastest male team - Team Made up of five 15 to 16-year-olds, FCM Spartans Male finished with a time of 02:46:51.
Fastest women's team - Marathon Maniacs, who finished in 03:10:11.
Mixed relay winners - Great City Racers, whose final time was 03:01:29.

Male winner - 14-year-old Rory Baines from Les Quennevais School, was the fastest to complete the Marathon Mile, doing it in just five minutes flat.
Female winner – Isla Hall from Beaulieu finished the race in 05:36.
Sponsored by Standard Chartered Jersey, the Jersey Marathon was assisted by many volunteer marshals and St. John Ambulance - the local chosen charity beneficiary and receives half the funds raised by runners - providing first aid on the day.
The remaining half goes to Standard Chartered's Futuremakers, which tackles inequality for young people in communities and promotes greater economic inclusion.
"The Standard Chartered Jersey Marathon is one of my favourite dates in the calendar because it's an incredible community event that raises money for charity and there are so many inspiring runner stories," Standard Chartered CEO Henry Bayes said.

Stewart Downing, Former Liverpool FC player, who stepped in as John Barnes could not attend, said he was "thrilled" to have been able to support the run, adding: "Sport has the incredible ability to unite people, and this event is a great example of that. It's fantastic to see hundreds of runners take part and fundraise at the same time."
