Jersey photographer Matt Porteous has shot the image that the Prince and Princess of Wales are using for their Christmas card this year.
The 44-year-old, who is the Creative Director of The Studio_M at Snow Hill, took the image of the Prince and Princess of Wales and their children, George, Charlotte and Louis, earlier this year.
The Royal Family is pictured holding hands while walking along a path through the Sandringham Estate in Norfolk.
In a statement, Mr Porteous said: “I was delighted to spend time photographing The Prince and Princess and their children in Norfolk earlier this year. It is always such an honour to capture these special moments within a family and I’m delighted they have chosen this portrait for their 2022 Christmas card.”
The image is the latest of several official photos that Mr Porteous has taken of the Prince, Princess and their children. They include capturing Prince Louis’s christening, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, as they were, appearing on television with Mary Berry, and candid shots of the family relaxing.
Speaking to Express today, mum Karin Porteous and step-dad Tony Blyth said they were incredibly proud of their son.
Mr Blyth said: “He has developed a strong, trusting relationship with the family and I think that is down to two reasons: firstly, his skill – and he is a very capable photographer who never stops wanting to learn – and secondly, his personality.
“He has a close and intimate relationship with the family and they enjoy each other’s company. The children are also very relaxed in his company.
He added: “He has worked very hard to get where he is now. He took lots of courses to improve his photography and he has won many awards for his work.
“However, he has never let his success or his relationship with the Royals go to his head. One of Matt’s many qualities is that he is very humble and takes everything in his stride.”
