Virus "wipes out" business for Jersey tickets firm

17 jobs are to go in Jersey as the attractions tickets specialist, 365 Tickets, ceases trading, saying the effect of the Covid-19 pandemic has "wiped out" their business.

The global tickets provider is registered in Jersey, and employed 17 people here, and 2 in the UK - all are to lose their jobs.

The business traded as 365 Global Tickets Limited and 365 Tickets International Limited.

CVR Global have been appointed to manage the insolvency process. 

Director Adrian Rabet said: "We can confirm that the directors of the two companies have, with regret, ceased trading  due to the impacts of Covid-19 on the travel and leisure industry.

"CVR Global has been engaged as an independent firm of insolvency practitioners to assist with the winding up of companies, and notices of convening of the requisite meetings have been sent to all known creditors which are affected.

"The companies have a 20-year history but, like many others in the sector, have seen their business wiped out almost instantly by the Coronavirus pandemic. The 19 staff – 17 in Jersey and two in the United Kingdom –  have sadly lost their jobs."

365's website currently says that it is unable to sell tickets at the current time. 

Last year the firm announced that the internet entrepreneur, Aaron Chatterley had been appointed as Chairman. 

The firm was set up in 1997, and sold tickets to global attractions including the Tower of London, Disney venues, Buckingham Palace and the Moulin Rouge. 

Demand for tickets has dried up in recent months, with the closure of venues across the world, following the corona virus lockdown restrictions.
