"Power vs Emotion" said the judges as Jersey rocker Jamie Lovatt lost out to his team mate Chris Royal in the Battle round of the hit BBC1 show, The Voice.
Jamie went head to head with Chris Royal in Saturday night's show, as they sang Adele's Rolling in the Deep. Their mentor Kaiser Chief's frontman, Ricky Wilson said it was "the toughest decision I've made so far," as he chose Chris Royal above the Jersey rocker.
Chris towered above Jamie as they battled it out to win the support and heart of Ricky Wilson. Jamie gave a powerful performance in true rock god style with leather trousers and a flamboyant shirt. Jamie's performance was described as a "Rock n roll roar".
After Ricky chose Chris, there was one last chance for Jamie to stay in the show, as Kylie Minogue, could have "stolen" him for her team. Disappointingly for Jamie Kylie declined, but she gave the Jersey rocker a boost when she said: "Everyone's going to fall in love with you, you already have it all, run with it."
After the result Jamie was showered with commiseration messages on Twitter, Jamie replied: "you ain't seen the last of me." The official BBCTheVoiceUK Twitter feed said: "farewell Jamie. Keep on rocking".
