Water quality has worsened at La Haule, with illness-causing bacteria levels spiking once again.
Following Monday's torrential downpours, islanders were urged to "avoid swimming along St Aubin's Bay and Havre des Pas" for 48 hours – minimum – "or until the sea water is clear and you can see your feet".
The warning came days after the latest round of sea monitoring on 9 July detected spikes in an infectious bacteria called e.coli at Havre des Pas, Victoria Pool and La Haule, leading all three bays to be rated as 'poor'.
At the time, Victoria Pool was carrying 14,200 e.coli per 100ml of water, while Havre des Pas's level stood at 236, and La Haule's at 445.
But the water quality at Havre des Pas has now been rated 'excellent' with just 10 e.coli per 100ml following further analysis on Wednesday, while Victoria Pool has been classified as 'good' with 120 per 100ml.
La Haule's, however, has deteriorated.
On 16 July, it was recored as having e.coli levels of 882 per 100ml.
All other bays remain excellent.
