A pair of local football fans have organised a five-a-side tournament to help raise money for Ukraine.
Tom Stead and his friend Jonny Seller have been encouraging businesses and friends to get involved with the fundraiser, which will be taking place in May, to help raise money for the British Red Cross in its response to the war, and say they're delighted with the response, with all places booked up within days.
“In light if the devastating conflict that is going on in Ukraine currently, we have decided that we would like to raise much needed funds for those families that have been affected by the war” said Tom.
The event will be taking place at Les Quennevais School, with Alex Richardson, Business and Facilities Manager, having kindly given permission to use the grounds for free in light of the charitable nature of the event.

Teams will play three matches in an allocated group with the top two teams progressing into the knockout rounds.
Each game will be 10 minutes long. The final will be 20 minutes.
The winner of the match will receive the highly coveted 'Kick for Ukraine' trophy.
Tom and Jonny will be refereeing with the help of their friends.
Tom said they "could not believe the amount of interest that we received" when they posted about the event online. "Within three days of posting the event we were full with 20 teams participating."
Even though there may no longer be spaces to play, there will be plenty for attendees to enjoy on the day.
Refreshments will be provided by Out and About, while Piers Alexander will be providing music.
