La Pulente Pub is reopening in the next few weeks under new ownership after being closed for almost a year.
The owners of Staks - a burger and barbecue restaurant in La Colomberie - have bought the pub, whose fate has been unclear since Randalls sold the building and the previous tenants left last July.
Randalls sold the pub last year for £1.7m to immediate neighbour Wayne Le Marquand, who sold it on last month.
Now the family behind Staks are opening Staks La Pulente, which will include a pub as well as a restaurant.
Although the new owners do not want to make any public announcements until they have an opening date - which is thought to be some time next month - others have welcomed the news.

Gavin Reed, Managing Director of Randalls, said he was delighted that the pub was reopening and his business would be supplying the new venture with drinks.
“We’ve heard a lot about the perils of hospitality over the last year, so to see a local family business invest in the pub is fantastic news,” he said.
The response from Islanders hearing about the new venture on social media has been equally positive.
Bronwen Le Brun posted on a Facebook group for St. Ouen parishioners: “Absolutely delighted to be told today that the La Pulente Pub should be reopening next month with a new owner and refurbishment, together with a fabulous chef that St Ouennais’ have grown to love over the last decade with his amazing scrumptious food.
“Looking forward to having a pub back in the bay.”
