Le Petit Train rides again

Saturday 25 July 2020

Le Petit Train is launching a new free service for parents and children tomorrow to give its carriages "some air" after the pandemic knocked its regular rides off track.

In a Facebook post, the owners announced that from Sunday 26 July, a train will depart from Liberation Square at 14.00 and arrive at St. Aubin for a ten-minute stop before heading back.

The journey will go ahead "every other Sunday", and the total travel time will be one hour and fifteen minutes.

Due to covid restrictions, only one family group (four seats) per bench will be allowed.

The owners have reassured that “covid screens have been fitted in each carriage and the train will be cleaned thoroughly before departure”, as well as there being hand sanitiser available before boarding.

If the weather does not permit a ride, they will be rescheduled for the following week.

The train has not been doing trips since March, and the owners say that, while it will not be fully running for the rest of the year, these free outings for parents and children will offer the trains some “fresh air.”

They also promise that there will be Disney songs and nursery rhymes during the ride and are inviting passengers to sing along.

Bookings must be requested in advance by emailing info@littletrain.co.uk.
