With the Fort Regent Active facility now closed, gym rats and fitness fanatics are hoping to get their hands on some of the old workout equipment for bargain prices.
The hilltop Active gym closed its doors for the final time in May, as members of the Government-run fitness club were encouraged to instead use the "expanded and modernised" gym at Springfield Stadium.
However, the move brought a number of negative comments.
Access to the site, especially during rush-hour periods or when Springfield Stadium is hosting matches, was among the issues raised, along with car parking, the relative lack of size compared with Fort Regent and an insufficient number of showers.
Some exercise enthusiasts might be tempted to work out at home instead, as Active is now advertising a secondhand gym equipment sale next weekend.
No card payments will be accepted, the gym said – but cash and cheques are fine.
Equipment will be priced between £50 and £200.
Though it is not possible to reserve equipment, the fitness club confirmed that they will email a list of equipment to anyone who gets in touch with their Facebook page.
The sale is to take place at Fort Regent on Saturday 4 November from 10:00 to 14:00, with equipment sold on a first-come-first-serve basis.
Successful buyers will have until 16:00 on Sunday 12 November to collect their new gym gear.
