Les Ormes has submitted an amendment to its approved planning application to build bigger extensions on some of its existing self-catering lodges.
Last year, the resort and leisure centre had planning permission granted to “construct 17 single storey extensions” onto the existing lodges.
The amendment to the application proposes extending the extensions to five of the lodges as well as building an extension onto another unit onsite.

Commenting on the application amendment, Mike Graham, General Manager of the Bosdet Foundation, said: “The demand for self-catering is very strong. We have developed Les Ormes into a resort and this ‘Centre-Parcs’ model really is very popular with families. The reason we are expanding our units is that since they were introduced nine years ago, standards have gone up.
“People used to be happy with the kids sleeping in the lounge, but now the expectation is that they should have their own room. We are making the chalets more spacious to meet modern standards.”
