A Jersey singer-songwriter is getting his name out in the UK with a new single and video recorded, produced, filmed and photographed on the Island.
Tadhg Daly's bluesy new track 'Control Yourself' has only just been released but is already getting hype in the mainstream music world.
The 22-year-old and his bandmates - drummer Jack Townsend, guitarist Zach Pygott and bass guitarist Matt Romeril, moved to London and have been performing at major UK festivals like the Boomtown Fair and the Isle of Wight Festival. Thanks though to support from the Jersey Arts Trust they came back to the Island to record their EP of self-penned, heartfelt songs with Sam Falle at Gilbert O'Sullivan's 'Frobisher Lane' studio.
Jersey photographer Danny Richardson provided the artwork for the EP and the band's hard-hitting video all about temptation was also shot in the Island by Simon Edwards.
You can hear the track and watch the video here.
Tadhg's debut EP ‘Taghazout’ will be independently released for download and out on CD on 25 March.
The band, who opened the main stage at last year's Folklore Festival will be back in Jersey for a live launch of the EP on Friday 15 April at the Havana.
